Hearing the news of her death, brings back memories of her dignified but determined protests against the every day discrimination that African Americans had to deal with.
Her action, followed by that of Rosa Parks, eventually led to the passing of the civil rights legislation, granting equality to all Americans.
Sadly the USA in 2026 seems to be doing it’s best to turn back the clock, describing diversity and equality programs as ‘woke’ Very depressing to think that progress towards a fairer world has been halted.
