In 2016 I suffered a major stroke which kept me in hospital for over a month. I recovered after intense physiotherapy and occupational therapy, to enable me to walk again and use my right hand.
Since then I had a couple more minor strokes and in 2021 I had pneumonia and pleurisy, which had long to effects.
Thankfully by 2021 I had the love and care of the woman who was to become my wife the following year, something I’ll always be grateful for.
I took early retirement as a result of this and with her love and devotion, I have made the most of every day and made sure that I avoid as much stress as possible.
