Will Angela Rayner become Britain’s next Prime Minister? As Keir Starmer’s future is uncertain, thanks to Peter Mandelson’s connection with Peter Mandelson.

Today she has made a statement expressing her full support for Starmer, but don’t expect the speculation to end any time soon.

Rayner is from the north and solidly working class. She became a single mother aged 16 and worked in a care home.

She is outspoken, emotional and is perceived to be able to reach those voters who are put off by Keir Starmer’s more cold and managerial style.

It’s still not certain what will happen in the weeks and months ahead, but she has a good chance of succeeding so keep a keen eye on her.
