In his latest attack on NATO allies and their contribution to the Iran war, Donald Trump seems to be singling out Britain for special treatment.
After recently calling British military capabilities as ‘Toys’ he now wants Britain to help clear the Straight of Hormuz.
But surely, if the USA with all their military might are unable to clear the Straight, how would Britain be any more successful in that respect?
And as for Britain learning to fight, whenever Britain has had to fight for survival, the USA never helped. The best example of that is the Battle of Britain in 1940.
What his outburst proves is that the USA launched a war against a country he thought would quickly surrender. The truth happens to be a bit different.
