Are we all going to be replaced by robots?
If you had asked me a few years ago if we were going to be replaced by robots, my answer would have been an unequivocal no.
Now, with advances in technology and the ever present artificial intelligence, my answer is totally different.
I don’t think that humans will be replaced in the literal sense. Human beings will continue to reproduce themselves and we will still eat, breathe, sleep and enjoy sex.
What will happen, I feel, is that many tasks currently carried out by humans, will in some form be replaced by robots, affecting the world of work and society in general.
It is still too early to make sense of this new industrial revolution, but we will certainly have to adapt or perish.
